Oh dear, haha, it’s been more than a week since I’ve blogged. I guess you can say that the holiday is getting to me and I’m growing even lazier. Well, my sudden motive to blog is because my com will be taken away on Monday to be sent for repairs. Hence I decided to make as much use of my computer as I can before it goes for repairs.

Let’s see, my week has been pretty mundane, basically entertained myself in any way possible. I did however manage to get a few things done. Haha, I bought the materials to make Christmas cards and envelopes, I’ve been to the gym ONCE, I went swimming, I packed my room (finally!), I went for a job interview and supposedly got a job as a waiter even though the manager has yet to get back to me and I went for Sakae buffet just yesterday. Haha.

For me, the really effective way in which I made time fly by was sleeping late at night and waking up in the afternoon the next day. I’ve been keeping myself amused at night by watching television. Haha, I’m still laughing at how bad Taiwanese people’s English are. I watch 娱乐百分百 or just in case the Chinese characters don’t show, it’s 100% entertainment in English, and I must tell you that I not only laugh with them, I laugh AT them. Somehow one of the host, the one that’s a singer, has the imagery of being fluent in English, so delusional that he doesn’t mind embarrassing himself in front of the camera.

Here are some of his English phrases used in the show.

I am is big school.

And if that isn’t enough, their subtitles are wrong too.
Instead of mock tails, the subtitles read motel and instead of special, the subtitles read speshow.

A lot of interesting things to watch on television nowadays, I generally occupy myself with OPRAH, the Tyra Banks show, America’s next top model cycle 7 (on Youtube), amazing race 10 (on Youtube) and 7, survivor cook island (I follow the one showing in America), nip tuck, girls out loud (yes it’s great fun laughing at them, or at least Wendy), project runway, 娱乐百分百, prison break, the Ellen show and of course the coverage of the Asian games.

Packing my room was hell! I had a hard time sorting things out because I seemed to have accumulated a lot of junk throughout the entire year and my lifespan of 16 years. I found really old junk like notebooks from when I was in primary school and all the little knick knacks that I somehow kept till now. So I flung everything out from the drawer and onto my bed, floor and chairs and started sorting between things to keep and things that were just rubbish. After a gruelling 3 hours, I was done. Haha, it’s surprising that I take so long to sort out my room considering how small it is.

My mom and maid seem to have some sort of rag-and-bone-man past. I don’t know why, but they just love going through my trash! Like my maid will weave in and out of the huge pile of rubbish I had put into a few plastic bags and half an hour later, she has her own pile of stuff that she wants to bring home to give her kids. Oo. My mom is even better; she takes only fifteen minutes to decide what shouldn’t be thrown away and what can be given to some of her poorer friends. I let them do what they want until my mom starts making me take back all the pens that I have thrown away. It seems that every time I throw away a pile of pens, it comes back. And it just accumulates over the years and currently, I have about three to four drawers of pens. And that’s just me, not counting other members of the family.

Well, at least now that’s all over and I have a clean room with all my stuff tucked away in the third story or in the incinerator. Okay, that pretty much wraps up my really dull week. Hopefully I’ll have something more interesting to blog about when my computer gets back.
