So Not The Drama

Okay, my computer has been sent to repairs so now I will just have to settle for my mom’s laptop, which pretty much sucks. Somehow I can’t lock the touchpad because this laptop is ancient. So every now and than when I’m typing, the cursor will suddenly jump and I’ll have to slowly navigate my way back to where I was originally typing from.

I haven’t been updating that often recently and the reason why I’m blogging today is because I’m at home and bored. Initially, I was supposed to go to work today. However, I suffered from a rather high fever yesterday and hence had to call in sick. It’s been quite a while since I’ve been so sick, I mean really sick. Usually I will have a sore throat or just some running or blocked nose. But this fever was really quite serious. I remember tossing and turning all through the night and woke up twice in the middle of the night to realize that I was covered in cold sweat.

When I first felt that I was coming down with a fever, I thought that it would get better like later in the day. Yet, things got worse instead and at one point I thought I had dengue. Ha-ha, it was because I had recently gotten a number of mosquito bites and I guess was being a drama queen at the same time. Well at least I’m feeling a bit better now. The temperature has subsided but I’m still aching all over.

I think what I need is to get up and exercise. Right now I’m feeling very lethargic, just lying in bed and typing away. Maybe I should do something more vigorous to get the blood pumping. Well, if all goes well, hopefully I will feel even better tonight so that I can do something tomorrow. The restaurant place in which I supposedly got a job has to call and it’s been almost a week. To be honest it doesn’t really matter if they call or not because I guess a part of doesn’t really want to work. Ha-ha, I’m just in it for the money. Besides, if they still don’t call, at least that means I can return to training tomorrow. Gosh, it’s been a month since I’ve gone for training, wonder how lousy I am right now. I’ve got to admit it’s intimidating to go back to training with the guys, but oh well. I’ll just have to roll with the punches.

Oh, I’ve wanted to mention something on my blog for a really long time and I guess now that I have the spare time to blog, I shall. It’s regarding taking bus number 2. Oh my god, taking that bus is a positive nightmare! I know I have said this countless times, but seriously, you won’t fully understand what I’m talking about until you experience the bus ride for yourself. If you’re lucky, the one time you take the bus may not be as horrifying for you, but just imagine this okay. You get on the bus, it’s really empty. So you happily plant yourself in a nice corner, planning on enjoying the rest of the bus trip in peace. Suddenly, you pass by the ITE and these hordes of guys come up. There are two worse case scenarios present here. One would be that they suffer from the worst case of body odour ever or two, the start blasting music from their hand phones and start singing along to it, off tune too!!! So far I’ve yet to experience both scenarios together and let me tell you, I’m really thankful.

And, if it isn’t ITE guys, it’s foreign workers or old people. I’m not trying to be mean here but frankly, would it hurt to bathe, even using just water is fine. Somehow, I am really appreciative for foreign workers who take the liberty to at least spray something on their body so that the smell alright. The saddest thing is that whenever I’m in close proximity to someone that reeks, I have no idea how to move away from the smell without rubbing it in their faces that they stink. Hence, I usually end up holding my breath or placing my nose as close to my shirt as possible.

So for those of you who have yet to take bus number 2, a word of advice, make sure you are prepared when the time comes. Ha-ha.
