Christmas 2006 ]] not so brief recap of life in IP*
*Merry Christmas* Everyone!

 At Vivo with Xmas Tree!!!
Haha, well it’s that time of the year again. It’s the time of the year which my family sees no point in celebrating and also the time which I spent each year rotting at home in front of the computer. And it’s no different this year. My Christmas can be considered the epitome of misery, but I find ways to make this day happier than it actually is.
Somehow receiving Christmas wishes, especially from those whom I had not expected, makes me happy. Getting Christmas cards, making Christmas cards, celebrating Christmas with friends, I guess this all will suffice for making Christmas special enough for me.
In my family, Christmas is like any other holiday. My parents get the day off to rest at home. While my brother and I have to find ways to celebrate it on our own. Well, he has his girlfriend to do that with, haha. Anyway, since there’s really nothing much to blog about today, maybe I’ll do a brief recap of the past 2 years in IP, with photos! Hopefully it’ll serve as a reminder to some that despite all the horrible exams, homework and teachers that were thrown at us, we still managed to have fun in the 2 years of torture.
-------------------------
I first entered VJC in 2005, thrown into a new environment where everything seemed so new, so intimidating. I participated in O1 2005, which I have no pictures of because at that time, I had yet to turn into someone who cam whores.

The next memorable event in the first year of IP would have to be the trip to Japan. Iki Macho, Mount Fuji, Tokyo Tower, Lake Kawaguchi and many other places that created so many wonderful memories in the Land of the Rising Sun.

 IKI MACHO!
Of course, there were the many plays that we went to over the course of these 2 years.
 Homesick at NLB.
 Magic Fundoshi at NLB.
Little Shop of Horrors at Victoria Concert Hall.
 Dim Sum Dollies at Esplanade.
To end the first year off, and to kick start the new year, I became an OGL, along with a few other IP students. Haha, it took me quite a while to warm up to my OG (animagus!!!) because I didn’t really know many of the people then, except for the few House committee people and those from IP. But I’m glad I got to know most of them in the end because they turned out to be such great people! 31 gang rocks! And O1 2006 rocked too!
 Sea Regatta!
 OG BBQ.
 Suntec City Mass Dance.
IP students constantly have to attend workshops too.
 Helmsman week(s).

 Nacli
I got to take part in House Committee Investiture this year. Somehow the first batch that I joined didn’t see the need to include the IP students, grr. Got to know a new batch of House Committee and got to work with them, more than I did with the last batch.
 DRACO!
 06/07 Batch.
 One Sport Ad Hoc.

Than there was volleyball, haha, where do I start with this? Tried extremely hard to get in when I first entered VJ, and somehow they were banked on not taking in anyone with no experience. However, seeing as how their numbers had dwindled down to 3 after the seniors left, they had no choice but to take in a noob like me. Sometimes I wonder if they ever regret their hasty decision. A division was definitely another significant event in 2006. Getting into top 4 must have meant a lot to some people, I’m not sure if for all. It meant something to me, because it was nice to be in the batch that got into top 4 after what, 8-10 years?
Prize Giving. I photoshopped this accordingly.

 Semi-Finals.
IP students got another overseas trip this year. And I chose to go to the Land Down Under! Haha, I wouldn’t say going on an overseas trip with Miss Low was an exciting thought, but I’m glad I got to know some people better.
 Airport.
Haha, this photo is quite badly taken, but it cracks me up.

 05v12!!!
2006 was also the year that had the world cup. Haha, world cup does things to people, doesn’t it?

Than came the exam periods.

But even then we still found time to help our classmates with their YFC project.
 Folding stars!
After that, the end of IP drew nearer and nearer.
We had the last day of school.

We had class party at Zong He’s house.

And last but not least, Velvet 2006.

Also, how could I forget all the birthdays celebrated, outings and the sleepovers at friends’ houses?
 New York New York!
 Ama's Birthday at ECP.
YY and Nicole's birthday at KBOX.

 Yvonne enjoys sleepovers. =)

 Visiting during CNY 2006.
 The many trips to Sakae.
-------------------------------------
Yup, I guess you can say that life in IP is definitely memorable. In a nutshell, it was a bittersweet experience.
